And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Bayden Wood Jr !
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Cecil Peabody and Alan Glass.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Myers clinches.
Wood Jr wants to break free but Myers has control.
Wood Jr wants to stall.

Myers has hold of one of Wood Jr 's legs. Wood Jr is fighting the takedown attempt but Myers gets the trip and lands the takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Wood Jr has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Myers is working away from the top position though.

Myers closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Myers lands in his opponent's guard.
Myers pushes down on Wood Jr 's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Myers wants to lay and pray for a moment but Wood Jr keeps working.

Myers feints and as Wood Jr raises his hands in defense, Myers changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Wood Jr shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Myers sprawls well. Myers wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wood Jr gets slowly back to his feet.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wood Jr enables Myers to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wood Jr manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Wood Jr throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Myers.

Myers is working for a guillotine from mount but Wood Jr frees his head quite easily.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
