The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bob uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Raggs .
Bob slips under a jab.
Bob lands a right hook to the body.
Bob needs to keep his hands up - Raggs had a free shot at his head there.
Raggs throws a lazy uppercut

and Bob counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Raggs 's guard now.
Bob stops Raggs from standing up.
Bob trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Raggs uses the cage to get back to his feet.
Raggs misses with an uppercut. Bob saw that one coming.

Raggs clinches up against the cage.
Bob tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Raggs just stands there and leans against the cage.
Raggs looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Raggs is trying to break the clinch but Bob is controlling him.

Bob keeps control of Raggs as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

Raggs 's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Raggs swings for the body but Bob moves out of range.
Raggs fails with the takedown

and Bob counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Bob drops back, looking for a kneebar! Raggs looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Raggs looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Raggs !
Raggs misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Bob tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Raggs trying to control the action but Bob is working from the bottom.

Bob takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Raggs wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bob keeps working.

You can see the frustration on Bob's face as Raggs controls the position.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Raggs passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Bob!

Raggs loads up with a big shot that hurts Bob! He's pulled Raggs in close but Raggs has postured up and lands more strikes. Can Bob survive? More strikes from Raggs and Bob is out! The ref jumps in to save him! Brutal ground and pound!
