The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Christianson slips a jab from Samani.
Samani throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Samani ducks under a wild hook from Christianson.
A looping hook to the body misses from Samani. Christianson does a little dance to reset his feet.
Christianson checks the leg kick nicely there.
Samani changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Christianson tries to avoid it but Samani manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Christianson to the ground. Christianson escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Samani looks to land a combination but Christianson avoids it well.
Blaze Christianson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Samani fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Christianson checks it well.
We've been told by Christianson's head coaches at Caveman Fight Team that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.

so Samani counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Christianson looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Christianson is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Samani has his hands clasped together but Christianson extends and breaks Samani's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Christianson.
