The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunt throws a hook to the side of Hartog's head but Hartog sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Hartog will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hunt tries to bum rush Hartog with a series of wild strikes but Hartog uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Hartog fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Hunt avoids it really well and circles away.
Hunt tries to clinch but Hartog is having none of it.
Dirk Hartog seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hartog gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Hunt counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
John Hunt has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Dirk Hartog.
