Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Justin Dunn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Bam Bam Leonard!
The judges for this bout are Steve Erwin, Donatello Bradman and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dunn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Leonard swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Leonard looks for a takedown but Dunn sprawls well.
Leonard shoots in and gets a takedown into Dunn's guard.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Leonard passes Dunn's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Leonard is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Leonard lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Dunn wants to control but Leonard is keeping busy.
Dunn is breathing heavily.
Leonard winds up and cracks Dunn with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Leonard looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Dunn with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's one minute gone in the round.

Leonard is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!

Leonard pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Leonard cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Leonard connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
Leonard has control of Dunn's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Dunn regains control of the situation pretty easily.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dunn is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Leonard cracks Dunn with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Leonard quickly switches position and commits to an armbar! It's a big risk for Leonard but it's paid off an Dunn is forced to tap! Nice work by Leonard.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bam Bam Leonard!
