Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Josef Urrah (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jordan Mutch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Urrah comes to the cage accompanied by Johnny Cash - Oney. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Josef Urrah!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 12 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jordan Mutch!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Illya Tyunina and Aleksei Zolotukhin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Urrah tries to score a power double leg takedown but Mutch sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Urrah somewhat.
Urrah tries to bum rush Mutch with a series of wild strikes but Mutch uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Mutch throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Mutch looks to throw the jab but Urrah is out of range.
Urrah looks for the body kick but Mutch saw that one coming.
Jordan Mutch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Mutch closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Urrah did well to prevent Mutch getting side control.
Urrah really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Urrah wants to sweep here but Mutch controlling him for the moment.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Urrah keeping moving, preventing Mutch from controlling successfully.
Mutch keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Urrah's head.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mutch is working Urrah over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Urrah had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Mutch defends it easily.
Mutch makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Mutch postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Urrah will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Mutch looking to sit in guard and control but Urrah gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Urrah wants to control from the top but Mutch keeps moving.

Mutch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Urrah's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Mutch wants to improve his position but instead Urrah has moved into half guard.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Urrah controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Urrah stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Mutch swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Mutch wants to sweep but no luck.
Urrah trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.

Mutch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Urrah can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Urrah content to strike from guard, landing some decent shots.

Mutch is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Urrah is aware though and is defending well.

Urrah with a nice head shot there.
Mutch throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
Mutch is trying to keep Urrah in close.
Urrah lands a couple of decent looking shots.
Mutch will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
Urrah wants to control from the top but Mutch keeps moving.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mutch looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Josef Urrah will probably get the nod.
That's time! Urrah's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Mutch throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Urrah tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mutch is in Urrah's guard.

Urrah working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mutch doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mutch manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Mutch stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Urrah has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Mutch manages to get his head free but now Urrah has transitioned to an armbar! Mutch grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Urrah! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:32 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Josef Urrah!
An intense looking Josef Urrah took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'All coppers are bastards ACAB!'.
