The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Olmerov stuffs the takedown.
Ballard swats away the attempt to clinch by Olmerov.

Ballard feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Olmerov wants to sweep here but Ballard controlling him for the moment.
Olmerov can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Ballard controls the pace.
Olmerov pulls Ballard in close to prevent any damage.
Ballard might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Kevin Ballard.
Olmerov wants to clinch up but Ballard keeps it at a distance.

Ballard takes the fight into the clinch.

Ballard pulls Olmerov into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Ballard wants to sweep but no luck.
Olmerov throws a big right hand that misses.

Ballard preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Olmerov is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ballard has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Olmerov is looking to defend but Ballard has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Olmerov! Ballard pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Olmerov taps out and this one is all over!
