Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Franky Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan Maye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryan Maye looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Franky Fish!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ryan Maye!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fish closes the distance and clinches up with Maye, looking for a takedown. Fish pushes Maye against the cage but Maye circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Maye scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Maye leaves Fish with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Fish shoots for a double leg takedown but Maye sprawls well. He's pushed Fish's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Franky Fish. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Fish throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.

Fish decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Fish wants to work for an arm triangle but Maye is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Maye throws a sloppy head kick and Fish moves out of range easily.

Fish closes this distance looking for a takedown but Maye circles away.
Fish looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Maye is fending him off so far but Fish persists. Nope, Maye circles away and we're back to standing.

Maye throws a sloppy head kick and Fish moves out of range easily.
Maye swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Fish fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Maye avoids it really well and circles away.
Maye moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Fish takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Ryan Maye seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Maye throws a sloppy head kick and Fish moves out of range easily.

Fish throws a body punch but Maye moves out of range.
Maye connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Fish's hands.
Fish moves forwards but Maye connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Maye misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
No luck for Fish with that takedown attempt.
Maye digs a good body shot into Fish's ribs.

Fish closes the distance and pushes Maye back into the cage.
Fish tries to land a knee to the head but Maye blocks with his arms.

Maye breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Fish takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Ryan Maye is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Maye misses with a jab, cross combination.
Maye pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Nice sprawl there from Maye as Fish shoots in.
Fish takes a head kick and keeps coming.
Fish takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.
Maye swats away the attempt to clinch by Fish.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Maye throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Fish tries for a takedown but Maye sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maye fakes a couple of low kicks, before throwing one on the third attempt. It connects and Fish has to reset his feet before getting ready to engage.
Maye tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maye throws a front kick that sends Fish stumbling back into the cage.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Maye will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fish pushes Maye up against the cage in a clinch.

Fish jumps guard and drags Maye to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
Fish controls Maye momentarily but Maye frees himself.
Maye pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fish is keeping the position for now.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Fish manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Maye holds on for dear life, controlling Fish's posture momentarily.

Fish with shots to the head and body - Maye looks very uncomfortable down there.
Fish landing strikes, looking to finish!
Maye tries to hold on but Fish pushes him away.
Maye is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fish trying to control but he's not successful this time.

Fish will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Fish goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Maye turns into him and now he's in Fish's guard.

Fish looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Maye postures up.
Fish wants to get back to his feet but Maye is in a dominant position and won't allow it.

Maye decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Maye lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fish circles away quickly and effectively.
Maye throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Fish.
Fish's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Maye connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Fish scrambles back to his feet.
Fish tries to move into range but Maye moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
Fish shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Fish fails with the takedown.
Maye throws a head kick that misses.
Fish avoids the head kick by Maye.

That was a close second round but I would say that Franky Fish will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!


Maye lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Maye.

Maye lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Fish fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Maye has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Fish working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.

Ryan Maye comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Maye has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
