Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Darnelczyk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Reeves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Reeves has chosen Motley Crye - Kickstart My Heart as his entrance music. Steve Reeves is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Daniel Darnelczyk!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of New York, Steve Reeves!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, John Kavanagh and Joseph Jones.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reeves slips a jab and a cross from Darnelczyk.
Darnelczyk throws a right and a left that both miss.
An inside leg kick lands from Reeves.

Reeves looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Reeves is looking to take a break and control but Darnelczyk is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
Darnelczyk lands one or two decent shots to the body here. Although from his own half guard, he's not going to be causing too much damage.

Reeves seems to be looking for submissions.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Reeves seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Darnelczyk is holding on tight.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.

Darnelczyk keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Darnelczyk lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Reeves backs up against the ropes.

A combination from Darnelczyk does no damage.
Reeves moves in looking to clinch but Darnelczyk pushes him off.

and Reeves counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.

Reeves lands a big shot there that rocks Darnelczyk but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Reeves is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Darnelczyk is surviving well by controlling Reeves's body position as best he can.

Reeves has hold of Darnelczyk's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Darnelczyk manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Darnelczyk is trying to stick to Reeves's back but Reeves is turning into Darnelczyk. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Darnelczyk's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Reeves.

Steve Reeves showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Reeves stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Darnelczyk swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Horrible takedown by Reeves or perhaps it was just good defense by Darnelczyk which made him look bad.
Daniel Darnelczyk has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Steve Reeves.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Reeves breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Darnelczyk swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reeves tries to clinch up but Darnelczyk circles away and keeps his distance.
Reeves lands with a nice combination. Darnelczyk backs away looking to recover.
A nice inside leg kick there by Reeves. That's going to slow Darnelczyk down.

and Reeves makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Darnelczyk really felt that one!

Reeves shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Darnelczyk as he jumps to the side.

Reeves throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Darnelczyk.

Reeves closes this distance looking for a takedown but Darnelczyk circles away.

Darnelczyk moves out of range of the body kick.
Crunch! Reeves slams his shin into Darnelczyk's torso.
Darnelczyk misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Reeves throws a left and a right that both miss
and Darnelczyk counters with a two punch combo.
Darnelczyk throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Reeves counters with a two punch combo.
Darnelczyk misses with a wild combination.
Reeves shoots for a double leg takedown but Darnelczyk sprawls well. He's pushed Reeves's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Reeves moves into the clinch.

Darnelczyk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

letting Darnelczyk counter with a right hand.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reeves looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Reeves shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Darnelczyk pinned against the cage. Darnelczyk gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Darnelczyk scores with a one two! Reeves had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Reeves closes the distance but Darnelczyk moves to the side
and Darnelczyk counters with a straight right hand.

Reeves scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!
Reeves lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Darnelczyk throws a nice looking combination but Reeves bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Reeves shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Darnelczyk as he jumps to the side.
Darnelczyk will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Reeves darts in and clinches Darnelczyk up against the ropes.
Darnelczyk can't break the clinch.
Reeves lands a nice shot to the body.
Darnelczyk has had enough of the clinch but Reeves keeps him there for the moment.
Darnelczyk throws a punch but it's blocked by Reeves.
Reeves lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Darnelczyk.

And that's the end of the fight!
Steve Reeves comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Reeves has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
