The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones tries to clinch
and Hawkins counters with a straight right hand.

Hawkins drives through with a takedown into Jones's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Hawkins cracks Jones with a solid left hand.
Hawkins is in close to Jones's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hawkins looking to sit in guard and control but Jones gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hawkins is edging up against the cage. He's using the cage to get back to his feet. Nice work there - the fighters are clinched.

Jones ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Jones no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Hawkins thows a huge punch but Jones dodges it nicely.
Hawkins has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Jones is in a horrible position here. Hawkins smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Jones is rocked!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Hawkins postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Jones badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Hawkins around the waist but Hawkins pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Hawkins is the winner by TKO! Hawkins jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
