Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randy Orton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jon Snow (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Orton comes to the cage accompanied by BOOM by P.O.D.. Jon Snow is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Randy Orton!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jon Snow!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Yves DeLean and William Peck.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Orton wants to clinch

so Snow counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Orton preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
Orton wants to stand and escape but Snow is having none of it.
Snow is pushing down on Orton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Orton is fighting to maintain full guard but Snow has managed to sneak the leg through.

Snow is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Orton wants to get back to full guard.

Snow is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there.

Snow is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Orton has managed to free his arm - good work.

Snow is nestled in close to Orton, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

This has been an exciting period of action!

Orton regains full guard, whilst avoiding punches from Snow.
Snow with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Snow throws a big elbow that misses.
Orton wants to stand but Snow is controlling the position.
Snow tries to free his leg and advance position but Orton is retaining full guard.

Orton has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Snow can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Snow is pushing down on Orton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Orton is fighting to maintain full guard but Snow has managed to sneak the leg through.

Snow is looking for a kimura here.

Orton has hold of Snow's hands but Snow slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Snow slips a nice elbow through Orton's hands, connecting with Orton's forehead.
Snow thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Orton's head.
Orton is staying active underneath Snow, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Snow tries to pass the half guard into mount. Orton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.

Snow winds up and cracks Orton with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Snow lands a nice short elbow.
Snow trying to mount his opponent but Orton defends it.
Orton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Snow looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Snow tries to pass the half guard into mount. Orton knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Orton is trying to control the position but Snow postures up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Jon Snow dominated that round.
That's time! Orton's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Orton wants to clinch up but Snow keeps it at a distance.
Orton fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Orton lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.


It looks like Jon Snow has been cut.

Snow tries to keep at a distance but Orton has taken the fight into the clinch.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Orton pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Randy Orton seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The fight stays on the outside here - Orton looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Snow stuffs the takedown attempt from Orton. Orton gets slowly back to his feet.
Orton throws a right and a left that Snow avoids nicely.
Orton doesn't manage to clinch there - Snow circles away.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Snow pushes down on Orton's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Snow takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Orton shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Snow has clasped his hands together around Orton's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Snow in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Orton is not content to let Snow control the position.

I wouldn't like to be where Orton is right now.

Snow swings around for an armbar but Orton sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Snow's guard.

Snow drops back, looking for a kneebar! Orton looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Orton looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Orton!

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Snow has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Snow keeps control of the position for the meantime.
