Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Weidman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Thorsen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sven Thorsen will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Chris Weidman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sven Thorsen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Chris Downing and Tiny Johnson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Weidman tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Thorsen drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.
Weidman can't do much from the bottom here.
Weidman prevents Thorsen from moving into mount.
Thorsen wants to control but Weidman is keeping him busy.
Weidman sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
Weidman is refusing to be controlled, as Thorsen sits in half guard.

Thorsen is pushing down on Weidman's leg trying to pass to half guard. Weidman is fighting to maintain full guard but Thorsen has managed to sneak the leg through.
Thorsen takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Thorsen is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Thorsen seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Weidman does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Well Thorsen has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Sven Thorsen really struggled to get his t-shirt on before his hand was raised. Making sure that KAISER logo gets some air time is pretty tricky when you're all sweaty.
