Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Luke Bryan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Felipe Kelvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Luke Bryan!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Felipe Kelvin!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Josh West.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryan looks to land a combination. Kelvin sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Bryan swinging wildly here.
Kelvin with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Bryan to score with a decent uppercut.


Kelvin is rocked!
Bryan throws a lazy right hand but Kelvin sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Kelvin is still on wobbly legs! Can Bryan finish him?
Good shot there by Bryan.

Kelvin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bryan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This has been an exciting period of action!
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Kelvin is trying to ground and pound but Bryan uses the momentary lack of control by Kelvin to regain half guard.
Bryan has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kelvin is working away from the top position though.
Kelvin stalling.
Kelvin seems to have recovered his senses.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Bryan is trying to maintain the position but Kelvin is very close to passing his half guard.
Kelvin really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Bryan. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Felipe Kelvin has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.
Bryan throws a hook but Kelvin blocks it.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Bryan is defended easily by Kelvin.

Kelvin gets a double leg takedown into Bryan's guard.
Kelvin lands a couple of digs.
Bryan will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Kelvin looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
Kelvin passes into half guard.
Bryan is looking to improve his position.

Kelvin not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Bryan wants to control but Kelvin is keeping busy and won't allow it.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Bryan is not content to let Kelvin control the position.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Kelvin blocks the strikes from Bryan.

Bryan with the active half guard here but Kelvin passes nicely into side control.
Bryan manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Kelvin is trying to control the action in half guard but Bryan is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Felipe Kelvin will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kelvin takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Kelvin shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Bryan napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Kelvin staying calm.

Kelvin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Bryan tries to bench press Kelvin off him but Kelvin keeps the position.

Kelvin is looking to take a break and control but Bryan is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Bryan is trying to get back to half guard.
Bryan manages to work his way to half guard, despite Kelvin's best efforts.
Kelvin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Bryan's head.
The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Kelvin lands a nice short elbow.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Bryan is trying to control but can't.
Bryan tries to roll over but Kelvin keeps him under control.

Bryan looking for submissions off his back.
Bryan is trying to control but can't.
Kelvin has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Bryan is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

Kelvin controlling the position easily from mount.
Bryan is looking to improve his position but Kelvin isn't that keen on the idea.

Kelvin stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Bryan throws a jab when Kelvin was well out of range.
Horrible takedown by Bryan or perhaps it was just good defense by Kelvin which made him look bad.
Bryan misses with a low kick.
Kelvin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Bryan lands with a right hand.
Kelvin fails in his attempt to clinch.
Kelvin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bryan manages to avoid it.
Kelvin misses with an attempted mid kick.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Bryan misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Bryan swats away the attempt to clinch by Kelvin.
Kelvin tries to clinch but Bryan is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Felipe Kelvin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Bryan's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!


Kelvin on the wrong end of a nice hook.
Bryan closes the distance and clinches up with Kelvin, looking for a takedown. Bryan pushes Kelvin against the cage but Kelvin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Kelvin tries to clinch but Bryan moves out of range.
Bryan jabs Kelvin to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Kelvin tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.

Kelvin shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Bryan looking for submissions off his back.
Bryan won't allow Kelvin to pass to mount.

That's one minute gone in the round.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
Felipe Kelvin has got the better of the ground game so far.
Kelvin's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Kelvin trying to mount his opponent but Bryan defends it.
Bryan is not content to let Kelvin control the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Felipe Kelvin wasn't active enough on the ground.
Kelvin drops his hands momentarily and Bryan takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Kelvin tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Bryan counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kelvin won't be happy with that.
Kelvin is looking for a sweep.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Kelvin parries the strikes from Bryan easily there. Bryan is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Kelvin to escape.
Kelvin managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Bryan.
Kelvin is trying to get back to half guard.

Bryan tries for a kimura but Kelvin is defending well.
Kelvin can't do much from the bottom here.

Kelvin is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Bryan's leg. Oh but that's left an opportunity for Bryan! He's got an arm triangle... it looks tight! He's rotating and Kelvin has tapped! This one is allllll over!
