Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Renan Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Pete Cuban (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Silva wants it to stay on the feet.
Silva lands with a good body shot.
Cuban looks to land a combination but Silva avoids it well.
Cuban feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Silvas jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Silva lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Silva.

It looks like Pete Cuban has been cut.

Cuban has taken the fight to the clinch.
Silva lands a shoulder strike.
Cuban goes for a takedown attempt but Silva pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Cuban lands with a nice combination. Silva backs away looking to recover.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Silva leaves Cuban with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Renan Silva has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pete Cuban.
Cuban throws a nice looking combination but Silva bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Silva has taken the fight to the clinch.
Cuban wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.

Cuban is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Cuban tries to pull guard but Silva won't allow it.

Cuban has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Silva avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

Cuban is rocked!
Silva has Cuban pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Cuban is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Silva - that's hurt Cuban badly! Oh, another knee lands and Cuban is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Cuban doesn't seem to be complaining.
