Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Dee Stroya (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lars Holm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Holm has chosen Warriors Heart as his entrance music. Dee Stroya has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Dee Stroya!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Lars Holm!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Jonathan Paton and Steve Montenegro.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holm tries for a takedown but Stroya circles away easily
and Stroya counters with an inside leg kick.

Holm throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Stroya tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Holm is in Stroya's guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Holm working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Stroya is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Holm looking to sit in guard and control but Stroya gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Holm has his foot on Stroya's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Stroya works his way back into a safe position though.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Dee Stroya.
Stroya throws a body punch but Holm moves out of range.
Stroya misses with a straight left.
Stroya misses with a hook
and Holm counters with a nice uppercut.
Stroya throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Stroya shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Holm eats them both and turns towards Stroya to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

Stroya swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Stroya punishes Holm's body with a nice straight punch.
Holm will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Holm stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Stroya.

Stroya throws a shot from downtown. Holm moves away and avoids it.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Stroya, right into the meat.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Stroya throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Stroya ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Holm moves away.
Holm walks into a straight right hand from Stroya.
Stroya throws the kick towards the body but Holm avoids it.
Stroya scores with a nice strike.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Stroya uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Holm misses with a straight left.
Dee Stroya seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

and Holm counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Dee Stroya dominated that round.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Holm is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Stroya lands a kick to the ribs of his opponent. Nice work there - in and out in a flash.
Stroya scores with a shot to the body.
Holm swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Stroya feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Holm sprawling to the canvas! Holm rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Stroya finish him?!

Holm is rocked!
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Stroya lands with a nice body punch.

Stroya shakes his hands by his side, trying to relax. Holm takes his eyes off the ball for a moment - Stroya sees the opportunity and cracks him with a massive hook! Holm bends double and collapses on top of himself - he's out! The crowd are going absolutely nuts! Wow, what a knockout!

During a confident post fight interview, Dee Stroya thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
