Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sean Sloggett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jared Scalf (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
2 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sean Sloggett!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

1 - 1 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jared Scalf!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Cecil Peabody and Frank Dennis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Sloggett shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Scalf as he avoids it easily.
Sloggett moves in looking to clinch but Scalf pushes him off.
Nice uppercut lands for Sloggett. That snapped Scalf's head back.
Sloggett wants to clinch up but Scalf keeps it at a distance.
Sloggett closes the distance and clinches.
Scalf jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Sloggett walks away with a smile on his face. Scalf gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Sloggett shoots in and drives through. Scalf sprawls well.
A slow jab from Sloggett misses its intended target.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Scalf shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sloggett defends it nicely.
A swing and a miss from Sloggett.
Sloggett wants to clinch.
Sloggett swings away with a body shot that misses
and Scalf counters with a flying knee. Nice.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Sloggett listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Sloggett lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
It looks like Jared Scalf has been cut.
Sloggett moves in looking to clinch but Scalf pushes him off.
Sloggett changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Scalf tries to avoid it but Sloggett manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Scalf to the ground. Scalf escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Sean Sloggett. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Horrible takedown by Scalf or perhaps it was just good defense by Sloggett which made him look bad.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
No joy there for Sloggett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
The fighters circling - Sloggett throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Scalf shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Sloggett pinned against the cage. Sloggett gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sloggett misses with a straight right.
Scalf shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Sloggett defends it nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sloggett is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Scalf.
Sloggett tries to clinch
and Scalf counters with a left and a right that stings Sloggett.
Scalf looks up at the clock. Bad move! Sloggett lands a right hand from hell, dropping Scalf. Sloggett pounces and finishes the fight with a flurry of punches and elbows.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:53 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Sean Sloggett!
