Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ivan Belshiknolav!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Reza Karimi!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Belshiknolav swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Belshiknolav. Karimi shrugs it off though.
Belshiknolav pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Belshiknolav tries a head kick but it misses.
Belshiknolav throws a feint and then finishes with a kick to the body.
Nice takedown defense from Belshiknolav. No joy for Karimi on that attempt.
Karimi lands with a good body shot.
Karimi bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Belshiknolav pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Karimi tries to land a leg kick but Belshiknolav saw it coming and moves away.
Belshiknolav stuffs the takedown attempt from Karimi. Karimi gets slowly back to his feet.
Karimi avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Karimi closes the distance and clinches up with Belshiknolav, looking for a takedown. Karimi pushes Belshiknolav against the cage but Belshiknolav circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Ivan Belshiknolav has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Reza Karimi.

Karimi drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Belshiknolav tries to escape but Karimi is in control.

Karimi thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Belshiknolav is trying to get back to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Karimi is working to tighten is grip on Belshiknolav's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Belshiknolav has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Karimi is really squeezing tight and eventually Belshiknolav passes out! Karimi breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Reza Karimi!
