Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Stewart Dunkirk and Cecil Peabody.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Safronov takes the fight into the clinch.
Safronov keeps control of Jones as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Safronov is looking for a takedown.
Jones can't break the clinch.
Safronov is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Jones is defending well for now.
Safronov drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Jones gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Jones escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jones missing with a left hand there. Safronov was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Jones.
Jones throws a head kick but Safronov moves out of range.
Jones has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Safronov is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Jones throws a low kick, looking for Safronov's leg but Safronov calmly moves out of range.
Safronov shoots in for a takedown but Jones shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Safronov uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Jones.
Jones pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Achilles Jones is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Safronov fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Safronov shoots for a takedown but Jones saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jones lands with a shot to the body.

and Jones counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Safronov shoots in and drives through. Jones sprawls well.
Jones lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Safronov on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.
Safronov is breathing heavily.

Jones stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

It looks like Dima Safronov has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jones lands a really nice looking cross but Safronov seems unphased.
Jones with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Jones lands a two punch combo.
Jones feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Safronovs jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Safronov is rocked!
Safronov fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Ouch! a nice leg kick from Jones, right into the meat.
Jones keeps Safronov at a distance using the push kick.
Safronov has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.

Safronov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jones pinned against the cage. Jones gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Jones keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Jones lands a jab.
Jones throws a good cross that connects.

Dima Safronov's cut is getting worse.
Safronov looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jones uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Safronov has time to react.
Oh Safronov is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

A chopping leg kick lands by Jones.
Safronov seems to have got his legs back now.
Jones misses with an attempted mid kick.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Safronov uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Jones.
Jones tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Safronov shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jones sprawls well. Jones wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Safronov gets slowly back to his feet.
Safronov avoids the head kick by Jones.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jones ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Safronov closes the distance and takes a jab right on the nose as he does so.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Achilles Jones dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Dima Safronov's cut.
That's time! Safronov's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

A big left from Jones misses.
Achilles Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Jones with a hook.
Jones displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Safronov.
Safronov has a takedown stuffed.
Safronov has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Jones.
Safronov changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Safronov manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones throws a low kick but Safronov avoids it.
A punch lands to the side of Safronov 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Safronov takes one on the chin but keeps coming.

Jones circles away from the clinch attempt.
Jones throws an overhand right that drops Safronov like a sack of potatoes! Jones dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!
