The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Garner.
Murphy chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Garner can pounce on him.
Murphy moves out of range of the body kick from Garner.
A telegraphed right hand from Murphy misses the target.
Murphy is looking to slow Garner down with leg kicks.
Murphy cracks Garner with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Garner ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Murphy looks to score with a jab to the body but Garner is just out of range.
Garner dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Murphy. That did some damage!

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Garner has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Murphy ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Garner moves away.
David Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Garner looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Murphy with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Oooooh, big shot lands for Garner! Murphy is hurt baaadly! Garner is firing away with more strikes - Murphy is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
