The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lucian throws a right hand that Lowrey ducks under and follows up with a left that Lowrey also avoids with ease.
Huan Lucian seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Lowrey shoots in but Lucian avoids the takedown attempt easily.

Lucian drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Lowrey has his foot on Lucian's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lucian works his way back into a safe position though.

Lucian drops back, looking for a kneebar! Lowrey looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Lowrey looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Lowrey!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Lowrey wants to lay and pray for a moment but Lucian keeps working.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lowrey decides to stand up, so the ref orders Lucian to his feet.
Lowrey throws a nice looking combination but Lucian bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Lucian misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Lowrey.

Lucian shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Lowrey as he jumps to the side.

Lucian wants the takedown. Lowrey is fighting it off but Lucian persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Lowrey's guard against the cage.
Lucian is breathing heavily.
Lowrey is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
It looks like Lowrey is going to stand back up.
Lowrey takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Lowrey seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Lucian is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
