Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dropkick Murphy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Andrew (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Dropkick Murphy!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Andrew!
The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Konstantin Menshow and Vladimir Khabensky.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murphy misses with the combination.
Murphy misses with a kick to the body.
Andrew throws a head kick that half lands.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Andrew.
Murphy tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Murphy wants to control but Andrew postures up.
Murphy is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Andrew off and has taken his back!
What can Andrew do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Andrew rolls, trying to escape but Murphy keeps control of the position.
Murphy controlling the position well here. Andrew rolled but Murphy kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
Murphy is trying to stick to Andrew's back but Andrew is turning into Murphy. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Murphy's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Andrew.

Murphy is pulling down on Andrew's head. It's preventing any offense from Andrew, at least for the moment.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Andrew looks for the body kick but Murphy saw that one coming.
Andrew takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Andrew is trying to escape the position but Murphy is controlling the position.

Murphy is pushing down on Andrew's leg trying to pass to half guard. Andrew is fighting to maintain full guard but Murphy has managed to sneak the leg through.
Murphy is pressing down on Andrew's thigh, looking to free his foot. Andrew is holding on for now.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Murphy looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Dropkick Murphy will probably get the nod.
That's time! Murphy's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Andrew rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Murphy moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dropkick Murphy is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

and Andrew counters with a single leg into guard. Murphy didn't expect that.

Murphy pushes Andrew off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Murphy throws a left and a right that both miss
and Andrew counters with a head kick. That will keep Murphy thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Murphy connects with a nice looking jab.
Murphy finds nothing but air with that leg kick attempt.

Murphy pivots, looking for a leg kick but Andrew is out of range and Murphy settles back down.
Dropkick Murphy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A solid leg kick lands there for Murphy.

and Andrew finishes the little exchange by landing a big kick to the body.

Andrew is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Andrew has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Murphy is trying to keep an underhook but Andrew manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Andrew is looking to regain half guard here but Murphy keeps moving and retains side control.

Murphy scores with a couple of nice shots to the head there. The referee takes a look at Andrew to see if he's OK.
Andrew is working to avoid the ground and pound but Murphy connects with a decent elbow.
Murphy lands a nice forearm strike.
Murphy in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Andrew tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Murphy is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Murphy decides to stand back up. Murphy steps back and let's Andrew get back to his feet.

Andrew takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position.
Murphy tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

Dropkick Murphy showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Murphy has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
