Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Tyr Asgaard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gervaso Ferreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Asgaard comes to the cage accompanied by Oingo Boingo. This should be a great matchup!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ferreira bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Asgaard manages to work his way to half guard, despite Ferreira's best efforts.
Asgaard wants to improve his position but Ferreira is controlling well.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!

Ferreira seems to be looking for submissions.

Asgaard got a little sloppy there for a moment and Ferreira has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Asgaard has managed to get both his arms back between Ferreira's legs - danger averted.

Ferreira drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Asgaard manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Ferreira has Asgaard in his guard.

Asgaard tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Asgaard has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Ferreira sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Asgaard's guard.

Asgaard tries to lock up and control but Ferreira gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ferreira wants to pass the guard but Asgaard is defending well.
Ferreira is thwarting Asgaard's attempts to control the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Tyr Asgaard will probably get the nod.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Asgaard has closed the distance and engaged Ferreira in a clinch.

Asgaard is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Ferreira has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Asgaard is looking to defend but Ferreira has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Asgaard! Ferreira pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Asgaard taps out and this one is all over!
