Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ronnie Putnam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Putnam comes into the arena with tap out blaring out of the sound system. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ronnie Putnam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Jack Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Putnam closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Johnson quickly recovers to half guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Putnam scoring with strikes to the body and head.
Johnson wants to improve his position but Putnam is controlling well.
Putnam prevents Johnson from standing back up.
Putnam is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
Putnam takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Ronnie Putnam.
Johnson throws a low kick but Putnam moves out of range easily.
Johnson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Johnson throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Johnson throws out a token jab with nothing on it.

Putnam takes the fight into the clinch.
Putnam goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Putnam blocks an elbow strike.
Johnson lands a glancing elbow in the clinch.
Putnam drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Johnson pushes off an throws an elbow but Putnam leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

Johnson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Putnam tries to keep at a distance but Johnson has taken the fight into the clinch.
Putnam is trying to pull guard but Johnson has him pressed against the cage.
Putnam tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Johnson just stands there and leans against the cage.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ronnie Putnam. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Johnson throws an elbow but it misses.

Putnam avoids the elbow strike from Johnson, against the cage.

Johnson breaks from the clinch.
Putnam circles away from the clinch attempt.
Johnson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Johnson clinches up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Putnam wants to take the fight to the mat but Johnson manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Putnam has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Johnson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Putnam slows the pace down here. Having a little breather whilst he's in a dominant position, looking to rest and regain some energy, ready to go for the finish.
Putnam's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Putnam gets his hooks in and is throwing strikes.
Putnam is looking cool and calm here, just waiting for a good opportunity to attack and finish the fight from this dominant position.
Putnam keeps control of the position as Johnson tries to break free.

Putnam has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Johnson's body.

Putnam has the hooks in. Johnson is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
Putnam lands with a couple of good shots - one to the side of the head and one questionable shot that could be viewed as to the back of the head but the referee lets it go.
Putnam trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Johnson doesn't escape.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.



Putnam shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.

The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Johnson wants to clinch but Putnam slips to the side

and Putnam counters with a nice double leg into guard.

Johnson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Putnam defends it easily.

We're going to have a standup here because Ronnie Putnam wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Johnson uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Putnam.
Putnam shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Johnson as he avoids it easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ronnie Putnam showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Putnam, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
