Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Billy Pilgrim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Landon West (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Landon West was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
West fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Pilgrim tries to clinch there but West circles away.
West stuffs the takedown attempt from Pilgrim. Pilgrim gets slowly back to his feet.

and Pilgrim counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in West's guard now.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
West keeping moving, preventing Pilgrim from controlling successfully.

West has his foot on Pilgrim's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Pilgrim works his way back into a safe position though.

West is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Pilgrim to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Pilgrim shrugs it off.

West has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Pilgrim avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
West is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Pilgrim is keeping busy.
