These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lie tries to clinch up but Foley circles away and keeps his distance.

Foley shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Lie's guard.
Foley is breathing heavily.
Lie wants to stand and escape but Foley is having none of it.
Foley tries to stand but Lie is controlling from the bottom.
Lie wants to stand but Foley is controlling the position.
Lie has a closed guard, preventing Foley from standing up.
Lie is looking to stand up but Foley isn't so interested in that idea.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Lie instigates a clinch.
Foley has Lie pressed against the cage, preventing Lie from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Lie wants to break free but Foley has control.
Foley misses with a knee strike.
A frustrated look appears on Foley's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Foley prevents Lie from breaking the clinch.
Lie tries to circle away but Foley has him pinned against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Lie wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Foley has him pressed against the cage.

Lie's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Lie fails in his attempt to clinch.
Lie rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Foley moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Foley moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Lie fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Foley slips a jab and a cross from Lie.

Oooh a lovely combination from Lie sends Foley down but not out. Lie dives into side control looking to finish.


It looks like Stefano Foley has been cut.
Lie wants to stand but Foley is controlling his arm.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mike Lie dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Stefano Foley's cut.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


The fight stays on the outside here - Lie looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Foley turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.

and Foley makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Lie really felt that one!
Foley finds himself stumbling back on wobbly legs after being clipped by a right hand. He's up against the cage, ducking and weaving under Lie's strikes but an uppercut finds it's way through and Foley falls! - He's completely out of it and the ref jumps in to save him!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:58 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Mike Lie!
A very excited looking Mike Lie made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
