Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Wang Hongwen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nub Nodes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hongwen comes to the cage accompanied by Tiptoe Through The Tulips. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the prize buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hongwen takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

It looks like Wang Hongwen has been cut.
A big left from Nodes misses.
Hongwen fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Hongwen staying out of range there.
Hongwen throws a right and a left that Nodes avoids nicely.
Nodes scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Hongwen ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Nodes looks to land a right hand but Hongwen moved out of range.

Hongwen changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Nodes looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Nodes avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Hongwen.
Hongwen sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Nodes is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Nodes prevents Hongwen from moving into mount.
Hongwen working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Hongwen tries to advance to mount but can't.
The strikes coming from Hongwen are missing the target in this wave of attacks.

An elbow from Hongwen crashes against the mat.
You can see the frustration on Nodes's face as Hongwen controls the position.
Hongwen lands a nice forearm strike.
Nodes takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better.
Hongwen tries to score with some ground and pound. Nodes controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.
Hongwen cracks Nodes with a big elbow.
Hongwen connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Nodes some visible discomfort.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Nodes managing to avoid any damage from the strikes thrown by Hongwen.

Hongwen throws an elbow but Nodes slips to the side and avoids it well.
Hongwen looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Nodes is avoiding damage well.
Hongwen creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Nodes sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Hongwen lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.
Hongwen lands a decent elbow from side control.
A lull in the action here as Hongwen stalls from top position.
Hongwen has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Hongwen postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.

Hongwen fails with the takedown.

Nodes closes the distance and lands a one-two.

Hongwen misses with a lunging right hand
and Nodes counters with a left and a right that stings Hongwen.
Hongwen swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Nub Nodes is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hongwen throws a jab when Nodes was well out of range.
Hongwen fails with the takedown.
Hongwen is breathing heavily.

Nodes leaves Hongwen with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wang Hongwen. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Nodes walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Hongwen drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Nodes swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Hongwen's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
