The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Decampo misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Vera walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Decampo checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side.

Vera lands a big head kick that sends Decampo tumbling to the mat! Vera takes a step backwards and waves Decampo back to his feet - he wants the finish!

It looks like Raul Decampo has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
A nice leg kick lands there from Vera.

Vera wants to sweep here but Decampo controlling him for the moment.
Vera bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Decampo's guard.

Vera wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Decampo's closed guard. He's half up but Decampo has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Decampo pivots and extends the arm, Vera falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Decampo! Well done that man!

In his post fight interview, Raul Decampo started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
