Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Unai Arana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brodie Sinclair (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Arana comes to the cage accompanied by Jesus was a terrorist. Sinclair comes into a darkened arena with his song building. kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Unai Arana!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 20 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Brodie Sinclair!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, William Gold and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sinclair takes a swing at Arana's ribcage but misses.
Sinclair's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Sinclair duly obliges.
Sinclair scores with a body shot.
Sinclair loads up on a big right hand but Arana slips the punch.
Arana dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Sinclair. That did some damage!
Arana lands with a thumping leg kick.
Sinclair scores with a sloppy right hand. Arana should have avoided that one.
Sinclair shoots for a double leg takedown but Arana sprawls well. He's pushed Sinclair's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Sinclair looks to land a combination but Arana avoids it well.
Arana misses with a body kick.
Arana on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Sinclair misses with a few strikes there.
Arana throws a head kick that Sinclair semi-blocks.

Sinclair shoots in and gets a takedown into Arana's guard.
Sinclair is looking to work some ground and pound but Arana has wrist control.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Sinclair working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
Arana manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Arana is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Sinclair can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Arana tries to control but Sinclair wriggling away.

Sinclair gets full guard.
Arana distracts Sinclair with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Sinclair controls Arana momentarily but Arana frees himself.
Sinclair is looking to stand up but Arana isn't so interested in that idea.
Arana wants to control from the top but Sinclair keeps moving.

Sinclair working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Arana doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Arana manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Sinclair is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Arana engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sinclair keeping moving, preventing Arana from controlling successfully.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Arana scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Arana is looking to work some ground and pound but Sinclair has wrist control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sinclair is trying to control the position from the bottom.

Arana won't allow Sinclair to sweep him here.

Sinclair is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Arana is aware though and is defending well.

Arana with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Arana makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Arana postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Sinclair tries to land a sweep but no joy.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Unai Arana will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Sinclair shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Arana but Arana pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Arana throws out a leg kick but Sinclair moves out of range and Arana only half commits.
Arana misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Sinclair.
Arana throws a good cross that connects.

Sinclair is rocked!
Arana uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sinclair.
Sinclair connects with a nice looking jab.
Sinclair keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Sinclair shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Arana pinned against the cage. Arana gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Sinclair misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Arana counters with a nice leg kick.
Unai Arana is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Arana seems to be stalking Sinclair here. He circles momentarily and then unleashes a devastatic head kick! Sinclair drops like a stone, out cold! WOW! Are you kidding me!? What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Unai Arana!
Unai Arana was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
