The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Minowa will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Ollie Ritch seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Minowa closes the distance and clinches up with Ritch, looking for a takedown. Minowa pushes Ritch against the cage but Ritch circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Ritch has Minowa pressed against the cage, preventing Minowa from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Ritch will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Minowa up against the cage.

Minowa looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Minowa.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Minowa swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Ritch swings for the body but Minowa moves out of range.

Oooooh!!! Ritch has knocked Minowa down with a huge combo! Ritch steps away and waves a wobbly Minowa back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

It looks like Ikuhisa Minowa has been cut.
Ritch lands hard precision jab right on the jaw that stiffens Minowa up and sends him tumbling to the mat! The ref grabs Ritch from behind before he can pounce. Some folks in the crowd didn't like that stoppage, but I saw Minowa's eyes roll way back in his head, he was done.
