Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Niku Taku (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andre Jackson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Niku Taku!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Andre Jackson!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Taku cracks Jackson with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Jackson throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Taku misses with a takedown attempt
and Jackson counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Taku misses with a head kick.
Taku keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Taku tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Taku avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Taku bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Taku trying to control the position but Jackson is working away.
Jackson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Taku wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.
Taku is looking to take a break and control but Jackson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Taku misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Taku swings around for an armbar but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Taku's guard.

Taku has his foot on Jackson's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Jackson works his way back into a safe position though.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Jackson throws an elbow that misses. Taku uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Jackson's guard. Nice move by Taku!

Taku tries to free his leg and advance position but Jackson is retaining full guard.
Jackson pulls Taku in close to prevent any damage.
Jackson controls Taku momentarily but Taku frees himself.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Niku Taku.
Taku fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Niku Taku. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Jackson feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jackson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

That was a close round but I would say that Niku Taku will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Taku throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Jackson looks to land a left hand but Taku moved out of range nicely.
Jackson throws a big shot that misses.
Jackson jabs Taku to the body, keeping him at a distance.
Taku doesn't manage to clinch there - Jackson circles away.
Jackson misses with a series of wild punches.

Jackson throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Taku was covering up waiting for the punch and Jackson finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Taku is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Taku trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Taku wants to stand but Jackson has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Taku looking to sit in guard and control but Jackson gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

Taku wants to sweep here but Jackson controlling him for the moment.

Taku had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Jackson defends it easily.
Jackson wants to control from the top but Taku keeps moving.
Jackson might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Taku haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Taku wants to stand but Jackson is controlling the position.
Jackson postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Jackson stands up over Taku, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Taku is trying to keep Jackson in close.
Taku is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Jackson wants to improve his position but Taku is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Taku looking for a submission but Jackson manages to get full guard, putting an end to that submission attempt.

Jackson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Niku Taku just wasn't active enough.
Jackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.

A close second round but Andre Jackson will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Jackson scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Taku moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.

and Jackson counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Taku thinking.

Jackson cracks Taku with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Jackson lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Taku has a takedown stuffed.

Andre Jackson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Jackson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
