Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between John Iii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sergay Goncharov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Iii shoots in but Goncharov avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Iii pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Goncharov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Iii throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Goncharov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Iii can't do much from the bottom here.
Goncharov lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Iii down.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Goncharov postures up and lands two really hard shots that put Iii on queer street! The ref takes a look and decides to call an end to the fight! Possibly an early stoppage but Iii doesn't seem to be complaining too much.

A relieved looking Sergay Goncharov thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
