The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Karanova clinches.
Zero tries to score a body lock takedown but Karanova shows good agility there to stay on his feet.
Karanova jumps guard but Zero stands there with Karanova around his waist. Karanova gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Zero prevents a takedown attempt there.
Karanova pulls guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Karanova is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Zero knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Karanova on the ground.
Karanova is looking to cinch up a triangle. Zero throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Karanova's body to avoid the submission. Karanova has instead reached around Zero's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Karanova arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
