PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jake Struve (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marcin Moszna (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Marcin Moszna told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Aafke Stam and Daniel Blasius.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Struve.
Struve swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Struve really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Struve misses with a takedown

and Moszna counters with a shoot takedown. Struve fights it but they end up in guard.

Struve looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Moszna slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Moszna accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Struve is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Moszna defends well.

Struve escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Moszna gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Moszna lands a couple of elbows.
Moszna is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Moszna works over Struve with some ground and pound from guard.
Moszna is pushing down on Struve's leg trying to pass to half guard. Struve is fighting to maintain full guard but Moszna has managed to sneak the leg through.
Struve trying to get back to full guard but Moszna takes advantage of the position and moves to full mount!

Struve is wriggling around trying to escape.

Moszna connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Moszna loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Struve scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Moszna land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Moszna stands and salutes the crowd.

A less than humble Marcin Moszna misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
