Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Simon Phoenix (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Brownie Anderson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Phoenix kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Phoenix. Anderson has chosen inner ninja as his entrance music. Brownie Anderson is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Phoenix misses with a low kick.

Anderson tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Phoenix manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Phoenix lands a big head kick that sends Anderson tumbling to the mat! Phoenix takes a step backwards and waves Anderson back to his feet - he wants the finish!

Anderson tries to bum rush Phoenix with a series of wild strikes but Phoenix uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Phoenix throws a leg kick which misses Anderson's front leg but catches the back leg as Anderson tries to avoid it.
Anderson throws a series of punches but Phoenix moves out of range.
Phoenix misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Phoenix throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily.
Anderson tries to clinch up

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Anderson shoots in looking for a takedown. Phoenix tries to sprawl out of it but Anderson keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Phoenix manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Phoenix throws a sloppy head kick and Anderson moves out of range easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Phoenix feints and then cracks Anderson's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Anderson down.
