The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Burns III drives through with a takedown into guard.
Manhoef wants to get back to his feet but Burns III is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Manhoef keeping moving, preventing Burns III from controlling successfully.
Manhoef is looking to stand up but Burns III isn't so interested in that idea.
Burns III forces his way into half guard.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Burns III looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Manhoef tries to kick Burns III off but Burns III keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Manhoef really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Burns III. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Burns III wants to pass the guard but Manhoef is defending well.
Burns III looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Burns III looks to score with a jab to the body but Manhoef is just out of range.

Manhoef is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the ropes but Burns III has just dragged him back down to the mat.

Burns III goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Manhoef has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Burns III but great work by Manhoef.

Manhoef wants to stand but Burns III is controlling his arm.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Manhoef swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Burns III closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Burns III wants to lay and pray for a moment but Manhoef keeps working.
