Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mich Van Hyllen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bjj Pro (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mich Van Hyllen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bjj Pro!
The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Pro closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Van Hyllen's guard.
Pro is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Let's hope that Pro has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
Pro tries to free his leg and advance position but Van Hyllen is retaining full guard.
Pro's corner is telling him to maintain position.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bjj Pro was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Pro lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.

Pro dives in and scores a takedown into Van Hyllen's guard.

Pro is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Pro's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Bjj Pro was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Pro shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Van Hyllen is trying to defend but Pro finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Pro wants to pass the guard but Van Hyllen is defending well.

Pro keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Pro looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Van Hyllen with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Pro performing his best blanket impression for a moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bjj Pro.
Pro blocks a head kick by Van Hyllen.
Mich Van Hyllen is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Van Hyllen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Pro.

Pro not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Pro stands and throws Van Hyllen's legs to the side, diving into side control.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
The ground and pound from Pro seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Pro is trying to get an arm triangle but Van Hyllen is defending well.
Pro controlling the position.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.


Pro shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Van Hyllen but Van Hyllen pushes him off and we're back to square one.

Pro is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Bjj Pro.
A nice combination there by Van Hyllen.
Pro shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Van Hyllen as he avoids it easily.
Van Hyllen throws a sloppy head kick and Pro moves out of range easily.

Van Hyllen utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Van Hyllen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Pro on the ground.

Pro works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Pro stalling.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Bjj Pro hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Van Hyllen waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Pro.
Pro dives in for a single leg takedown but Van Hyllen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Mich Van Hyllen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjj Pro.

Pro pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Pro shoots in looking for a takedown but Van Hyllen manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Pro's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Mich Van Hyllen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Van Hyllen tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Pro buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Van Hyllen lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Pro backs up against the cage.
Pro misses with an uppercut. Van Hyllen saw that one coming.
Van Hyllen misses with a wild combination.
Pro looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Pro shoots in and bounces Van Hyllen off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Pro drops back looking for a leg! Van Hyllen is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Van Hyllen manages to kick Pro off! Pro jumps back into Van Hyllen's guard.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Pro slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Bjj Pro showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. This is the final round!



Pro feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

Pro darts in looking for a takedown but Van Hyllen gets double underhooks and turns Pro into the cage.

Pro tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Van Hyllen just stands there and leans against the cage.

Mich Van Hyllen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Bjj Pro.
Pro is trying to drag Van Hyllen to the mat but Van Hyllen just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Pro throws an elbow that misses.
A battle for position here, against the cage.

Pro turns his hips and lands a very nice judo throw into side control!
Van Hyllen is letting Pro control him for a moment.

Pro tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Pro has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Pro working the ground and pound but he's contacting the mat, not the fighter.
Pro tries to advance to mount but Van Hyllen denies him.

Pro moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Pro passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Van Hyllen!

Bjj Pro is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Mich Van Hyllen has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Pro working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Van Hyllen turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Pro off and cradles Van Hyllen's limp body as Pro celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:57 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Bjj Pro!
