Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Johnny Steel!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Randy McDowell!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Steel darts in and clinches McDowell up against the cage.
Steel tries to circle away but McDowell has him pinned against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on Steel's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Steel working hard to break the clinch.

McDowell ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. McDowell no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
McDowell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McDowell keeping moving, preventing Steel from controlling successfully.
Steel is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because McDowell is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Steel wants to stand and escape but instead McDowell has hit a sweep and he's now on top in guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
McDowell throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Steel works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McDowell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
McDowell lands a couple of digs.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McDowell working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
McDowell advances to half guard.
McDowell slips a nice elbow through Steel's hands, connecting with Steel's forehead.
McDowell not landing any meaningful shots this time.
McDowell throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

McDowell seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Steel is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Randy McDowell!
Randy McDowell bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
In defeat, Johnny Steel stepped up to the mic, saying 'tried my best but they were the better fighter tonight and id like the chance to fight them again and hope for a better result next time'.
