Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jumo Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Johnny Knox (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Sudo comes to the cage accompanied by Roy Jones - Can't Be Touched. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Johnny Knox was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 27 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Knox!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A clash of legs there as Sudo blocks the low kick.
Sudo slips a jab from Knox.
Johnny Knox seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A slapping leg kick lands for Knox.
Knox scores with a jab to the jaw of his opponent.
Sudo looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Knox fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Knox slips a jab from Sudo.
Sudo moves out of range of the body kick.
Good exchange - Knox coming out on top.
Knox throws a lazy right hand but Sudo sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
The crowd cheers as Knox lands an impressive looking overhand right. Sudo doesn't seem phased though.

Knox throws a leg kick
and Sudo counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Sudo defending well as Knox loads up on a big left hand.
Knox goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
Knox throws a big shot that misses.
Knox throws a front kick aimed at Sudo's knee but Sudo avoids it well.
Knox throws out a leg kick but Sudo moves out of range and Knox only half commits.
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Sudo checks a leg kick.
Knox throws a right hand that misses

and Sudo counters with a nice double leg into half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Sudo thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Knox controlling the position for now.
Knox has hold of Sudo's hands but Sudo slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Sudo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Knox is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Jumo Sudo!
