Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jack Trade!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Yoshi Suzuki!
The judges for this bout are John Kavanagh, Jonathan Paton and Franklyn Lucas.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Trade. No joy for Suzuki on that attempt.
Trade scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
Suzuki shoots in for a takedown but Trade shows good takedown defense.
Trade feints and then cracks Suzuki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Suzuki down.
Trade connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
Suzuki has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him.
Suzuki on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Trade. Trade obviously looking to wear him down.
Suzuki darts in looking for a takedown but Trade gets double underhooks and turns Suzuki into the cage.
Jack Trade has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yoshi Suzuki.
Trade lands a knee to the head.
Suzuki drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Trade gets the underhooks and prevents it.
Trade landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Suzuki gets a trip takedown into half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Trade is looking to improve his position.
Suzuki is keen to just control but Trade is a slippery customer.
Trade wants to improve his position but Suzuki is controlling well.
Trade wants to control but Suzuki is keeping busy.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Trade is refusing to be controlled, as Suzuki sits in half guard.
Suzuki trying to mount his opponent but Trade defends it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Suzuki passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Trade!

Suzuki working for a guillotine from mount but Trade is in no mood to give up.

Suzuki is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Trade has managed to escape the submission attempt.
Suzuki moves to the back position.
Suzuki is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Trade is displaying good submission defense - not really looking in danger of submitting to the rear naked choke at the moment. That could change in an instant of course if Suzuki gets his way!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yoshi Suzuki tried to hype himself up post fight but didn't word it too well and it ended up with him sounding like a bit of a tool.
