Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mikey Barr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lucas Stongarm (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mikey Barr had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

The judges for this bout are Matti Vanhoillinen, Tarja Halkonen and Marco Blurström.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stongarm tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Barr swivels and escapes.
Stongarm tries to close the distance and clinch up but Barr swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Barr bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Stongarm tries to improve position but can't.
Stongarm is trying to control Barr's posture but Barr avoids it.

Barr is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Stongarm knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Barr looking to control but instead Stongarm has slipped a leg in, to regain half guard.
Barr is breathing heavily.
Stongarm regains full guard. Nicely done.

Stongarm looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Stongarm bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Barr's guard.
Stongarm stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Barr swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Stongarm drops back looking for a leg! Barr is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Barr manages to kick Stongarm off! Stongarm jumps back into Barr's guard.

Stongarm thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Stongarm tries to free his leg and advance position but Barr is retaining full guard.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Stongarm throws a combination. Barr tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Stongarm lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Stongarm tries to bum rush Barr with a series of wild strikes but Barr uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Barr wants to pass the guard but Stongarm is keeping the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.

Barr stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.

Lucas Stongarm seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Barr shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Stongarm's guard.

Stongarm escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Barr gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Barr decides to stand up, so the ref orders Stongarm to his feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Stongarm misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Barr wants to clinch up but Stongarm keeps it at a distance.

Barr fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Barr is looking to stand but Barr has his arms wrapped tightly around him, looking to prevent the damage.
Stongarm is bucking up trying to escape but Barr cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Stongarm is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Barr wants to finish this one by submission but Stongarm is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Barr.

Stongarm is desperately trying to get back to half guard.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Barr pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Barr's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
