Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Julian Cecere (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Menzies (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Steve Menzies was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The judges for this bout are James Glass, James Ackerman and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cecere lands a head kick. Menzies smiles back at him and beckons him forward.

It looks like Steve Menzies has been cut.
Cecere wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Cecere pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Menzies walks forward, straight into a front kick from Cecere.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

and Menzies counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Menzies is looking to land body kicks.
Menzies throws a solid leg kick but Cecere takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Menzies.

Menzies fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Cecere.

Cecere throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Menzies doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

That has opened up Steve Menzies's cut even more.

Steve Menzies seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

That was a close round but I would say that Julian Cecere will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

Cecere bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Menzies's head.
Menzies throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Menzies throws a hook but Cecere blocks it.
Cecere will be looking to protect his midsection after taking some solid kicks to the body.
Cecere scores with a punch to the head.
Menzies takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Menzies pulls out of a head kick attempt.
A combination from Cecere does no damage.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

The cut above Steve Menzies's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Both fighters step back and shake their arms out. Cecere engages and cracks Menzies with a massive lead left hook - Menzies tumbles to the floor, out cold! What a shot! Cecere is delighted - all that hard work in training paid off!
