And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Joseph Minicucci!
The judges for this bout are Anthony Taglia, Dean Styles and Lou da Vinci.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Minicucci shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Wallie is trying to defend but Minicucci finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.
The fighters are battling for position here. Wallie manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Minicucci has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Wallie is proving hard to escape from.
Minicucci slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Minicucci is looking to advance position but Wallie has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!


Wallie lands a leg kick that knocks Minicucci off balance momentarily.
Oochie Wallie seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Minicucci checks the leg kick.
Minicucci throws a chopping leg kick but Wallie manages to avoid taking any serious damage.

Minicucci closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Wallie quickly recovers to half guard.
Wallie regains full guard. Nicely done.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Joseph Minicucci hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Wallie throws a leg kick but Minicucci sees it coming and moves out of range.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Minicucci is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Wallie doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Minicucci.

Minicucci not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Joseph Minicucci was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Wallie is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Minicucci's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Minicucci tries to pass to full mount but Wallie defends it.
Minicucci uses his free foot to push down on Wallie's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Wallie.
Joseph Minicucci is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Minicucci takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
