Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Simo Solmu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Testa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Testa has chosen The System Gotcha as his entrance music. Nick Testa is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Testa fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Solmu is out of range.
A head kick misses from Testa.
Solmu fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Testa avoids it really well and circles away.

Testa bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Solmu manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Solmu looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Solmu is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Testa has managed to free his arm - good work.
Solmu wants to free his trapped foot but Testa is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Solmu is looking for a kimura but Testa is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Solmu to get the leverage.
Testa tries to get to full guard but Solmu has control of the leg.

Solmu is trying to work for a kimura but Testa is defending well.

Solmu is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Solmu is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Testa is just riding it out for now. Solmu eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
