And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Shane Burden!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Burden as Jackson shoots in.
Jackson tries a head kick but it misses.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Burden, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Jackson tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Burden swivels and escapes.
Burden has his takedown stuffed
and Jackson counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.

Burden tries for a takedown but Jackson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

Jackson pushes Burden off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Burden tries to clinch up but Jackson circles away and keeps his distance.

Jackson shoots for a double leg takedown but Burden sprawls well. He's pushed Jackson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Jackson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Jackson showed some decent athleticism there.

Jackson lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.

Burden jumps guard but Jackson stands there with Burden around his waist. Burden gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Burden dives in and grabs Jackson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes down on Burden's head and hops out.

Burden tries to pull guard but Jackson holds him up against the cage and eventually Burden drops back down to his feet.

Jackson scores with a jab. Burden acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Mark Jackson is winning the standup battle so far.
Jackson misses with a head kick.

Jackson forces Burden back against the cage and clinches.
Jackson looking to throw knees to the head but Burden is blocking nicely.
Jackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Jackson misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Burden.

Jackson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Jackson fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
Burden tries for a takedown but Jackson circles away easily

and Jackson counters into the clinch. Nicely done.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Burden keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Jackson rushes Burden and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Jackson jumps into guard, dragging Burden to the mat.

Jackson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Jackson looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Burden has picked Jackson up and slammed him! Jackson can't keep hold of the triangle and Burden manages to pass to side control!

Burden really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jackson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Jackson is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Jackson manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Jackson wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Jackson has his feet on Burden's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Burden postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Jackson pulls Burden in to control the position.
Jackson keeping moving, preventing Burden from controlling successfully.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Jackson dominated that second round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Jackson closes the distance and clinches up with Burden, looking for a takedown. Jackson pushes Burden against the cage but Burden circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Burden shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Jackson as he jumps to the side.

Burden tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Jackson paws at him with a jab and circles away.

A frustrated look appears on Jackson's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Burden is trying to break the clinch but Jackson is controlling him.

Jackson fails to pull the fight into his guard.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Jackson. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Burden can't get the takedown.
The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Jackson takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jackson keeps control of Burden as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.
Burden is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage.

Burden jumps guard but Jackson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.

Jackson jumps into guard, dragging Burden to the mat.
Jackson trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage.
Jackson is pulling down on Burden's head to control his posture.
Burden trying to control but Jackson is working from the bottom.
Jackson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Burden's guard.

Burden is trying to control the position but Jackson postures up.

Jackson controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jackson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Jackson's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Jackson duly obliges.

Jackson moves into the clinch.
Jackson has had enough of the clinch but Burden keeps him there for the moment.

Jackson manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Burden trying to control the position from guard on top but Jackson is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Burden has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Jackson is proving hard to escape from.

Jackson has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Burden can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Mark Jackson overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Jackson pulls Burden in close to his closed guard and prevents Burden from doing any damage or advancing position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Jackson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Burden gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

And that's the end of the fight!
Mark Jackson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Jackson has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
