Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Kim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Vega (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Daniel Kim has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Jeremy Vega!
The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Colin Fray and Chris Saunders.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Kim fails with the takedown.
Vega ducks under a wild hook from Kim.
Kim throws an off balance right hand
enabling Vega to counter with a crisp jab.
Kim fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Vega stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Vega wants it to stay on the feet.

Kim tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Vega was well out of range. Poor timing from Kim.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up, due to lack of activity on the part of Daniel Kim.

Kim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Vega can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Kim controls the pace.

Daniel Kim seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Kim fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Vega to the ground. Kim is now in Vega's guard.

Kim's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Kim has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

The referee asks Kim politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Kim prefers to stall for the moment though.

Vega is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Kim asserts his dominance and retains side control.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vega can do anything to dispel that myth.

Kim takes a little break here. Vega wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Daniel Kim overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

Kim content to control the pace. The referee will try and keep them active though.

We're going to have a standup here because Daniel Kim wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Vega counters into the clinch. Nicely done.
Kim is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Vega has a couple of punches blocked by Kim.
Vega lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Kim wants a takedown but no success here.

Vega tries to throw a body punch but Kim avoids it by throwing Vega back against the cage.

Vega lands a hook that snaps the head of Kim backwards.
Vega lands a nice uppercut.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Kim throws a jab but it's blocked by Vega.

and Vega counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Vega.

A less than humble Daniel Kim misjudged his post fight interview somewhat and came across a little too arrogant whilst trying to hype up his own abilities.
