Metaxa comes into a darkened arena with his song building. •99• The Haunted🔫 kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Tatum misses with a looping left.

Metaxa swings wildly with an uppercut but Tatum uses good head movement to avoid it.
Tatum's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Metaxa drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Tatum takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

and Metaxa counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
A nice leg kick lands there from Metaxa.
Metaxa motions for Tatum to come forward. Metaxa throws a leg kick but it misses it's target.
Tatum misses with a jab, cross combination.
A low kick from Tatum misses
and Metaxa counters with a right, left combo that wobbles Tatum badly! Metaxa follows up with a massive right hook, straight to the bridge of the nose that knocks Tatum out cold! Oh wow, what a finish! Very reminiscent of Koscheck vs Yoshida as Metaxa finished him against the cage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Martin Metaxa!
