Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Bengui Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Austin Barnett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Bengui Sudo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Daniel Cesar and Matheus Silva.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Sudo pushes Barnett up against the cage in a clinch.
Sudo creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Barnett's defenses.

Sudo escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Barnett decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Barnett is looking for a kimura here.
Barnett throwing shots but Sudo is blocking nicely.

Sudo is looking for a triangle but Barnett pushes his legs off easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sudo is looking to stand up but Barnett isn't so interested in that idea.
Barnett controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.

Barnett drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sudo manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Barnett has Sudo in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Barnett is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sudo pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Barnett is keeping the position for now.

Barnett had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Sudo is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Barnett Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Sudo's back instead.

The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Barnett's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.

Sudo turns into Barnett and is now in his guard.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Barnett is trying to stick to Sudo's back but Sudo is turning into Barnett. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Barnett's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Sudo.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Barnett tries to strike from the bottom but it doesn't land.
Sudo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Barnett does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

That was a close round but I would say that Bengui Sudo will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Sudo throws a series of punches but Barnett moves out of range.
Sudo tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
No joy there for Barnett, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Horrible takedown by Sudo or perhaps it was just good defense by Barnett which made him look bad.

Barnett closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Sudo to the mat! Sudo manages to get full guard.

Barnett stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Sudo throws up his legs and catches Barnett in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Barnett tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Sudo! That came out of nowhere!
