Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thomas Jefferson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and King Leonidas (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thomas Jefferson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, King Leonidas!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Joseph Jones and Chad Campbell.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jefferson misses with an uppercut
and Leonidas counters with a nice body kick.
The fight stays on the outside here - Leonidas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Leonidas tries to clinch up but Jefferson circles away and keeps his distance.
Leonidas scores with a head kick.
Leonidas is looking to clinch but Jefferson is avoiding it.
Leonidas wants to clinch up but Jefferson keeps it at a distance.
Nice sprawl there from Leonidas as Jefferson shoots in.
Leonidas fails in his attempt to clinch.
Leonidas lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.
Jefferson shoots for a double leg takedown but Leonidas sprawls well. He's pushed Jefferson's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Leonidas tries to close the distance and clinch up but Jefferson swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Leonidas lands with a kick to the temple. Jefferson shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"


It looks like Thomas Jefferson has been cut.

and Jefferson decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Leonidas's guard.

Jefferson is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Leonidas is just riding it out for now. Jefferson eventually gives up the hold.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Jefferson tries to close the distance and clinch but Leonidas swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

King Leonidas is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

King Leonidas is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Leonidas throws a quick inside leg kick.
Jefferson fails with an attempt to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Leonidas looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Jefferson.
Jefferson in side control, throwing shots but Leonidas defends.
Leonidas pushes Jefferson away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Jefferson gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

An elbow from Jefferson crashes against the mat.
Jefferson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Leonidas down.

Check out the look on Jefferson's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Jefferson has control of Leonidas's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Leonidas regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Jefferson is working for a guillotine from mount but Leonidas frees his head quite easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Jefferson lands a nice shot to the head.
Leonidas wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Jefferson.
Leonidas really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Jefferson. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Poor strikes thrown by Jefferson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

King Leonidas has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

Jefferson escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Leonidas gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Jefferson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Leonidas is one step ahead there.

Jefferson had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Leonidas defends it easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Thomas Jefferson showed his dominance in that final round.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Jefferson, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
