Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Duarte Moreira (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gabriel Rhababer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Duarte Moreira!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Gabriel Rhababer!
The judges for this bout are Ren Mimura, Hirohito Nitta and Tatsuya Matsuyama.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moreira avoids the body shot from Rhababer.
Rhababer moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Rhababer ducks right into an uppercut from Moreira.

Rhababer closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Rhababer throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage.
Rhababer controlling the position.
Moreira wants to get back to his feet but Rhababer drags him back down.

Rhababer advances to full mount.
Rhababer won't let Moreira get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

It looks like Rhababer might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

Moreira wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rhababer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rhababer's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Moreira squirming around on the bottom, looking to escape.

Rhababer takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Moreira is not a happy chappy… he wants out of there.

Moreira tries to hold on but Rhababer postures up.

Moreira tries to buck Rhababer off but he can't manage it.
Moreira on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Moreira tries to get out of the position.
Rhababer tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Moreira wants to hold on but Rhababer pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rhababer darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.

Rhababer looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Moreira is trying to stand up here but Rhababer is controlling him well.

We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
A telegraphed right hand from Rhababer misses the target.
Moreira throws out a powerful jab.

Moreira tries to keep at a distance but Rhababer has taken the fight into the clinch.
Moreira tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Rhababer smiles and moves away.

Moreira swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Rhababer drives through with a takedown into guard.
Moreira wants to get back to his feet but Rhababer is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Rhababer is stalling in the full guard.

Moreira is looking to stand up but Rhababer isn't so interested in that idea.
Rhababer stays in close to Moreira's body and controls the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Gabriel Rhababer wasn't active enough on the ground.

Moreira's corner calls for a 1-2. Moreira obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Rhababer moves forwards but Moreira connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Rhababer misses with a wild combination.
Moreira throws a looping overhand right but Rhababer ducks down to avoid it.
A head kick misses from Rhababer.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Rhababer.
Rhababer takes a little break here. Moreira wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gabriel Rhababer showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!


Rhababer tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Moreira defends well and Rhababer ends up having to push Moreira into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Rhababer wants to take the fight to the mat but Moreira manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Moreira is trying to break free.
Rhababer wants a takedown but no success here.
Duarte Moreira has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gabriel Rhababer.

Rhababer is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Let's hope that Rhababer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
