Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between David Carvalho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Davide Sanchez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Carvalho misses with a series of wild punches.
Sanchez shoots in but no luck this time.
Carvalho looking to land some kicks to the body here.
Carvalho keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Sanchez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
David Carvalho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Davide Sanchez.
Carvalho lands a jab to the nose.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Carvalho throws a right hand that Sanchez ducks under and follows up with a left that Sanchez also avoids with ease.

Carvalho shoots in for a takedown but Sanchez shows good takedown defense.

Sanchez moves in looking to clinch but Carvalho pushes him off.

and Carvalho counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

The is referee keeping an eye on Sanchez - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Sanchez tries to land knees in the clinch but Carvalho avoids the damage to the body.
Sanchez stalls.

Sanchez ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Sanchez no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Carvalho drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Sanchez manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Carvalho has Sanchez in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sanchez controls from within his opponent's guard.

Carvalho looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Sanchez is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Sanchez trying to stand up but can't free himself from Carvalho's guard.

Carvalho has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Sanchez is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Carvalho.
Sanchez tries to advance to mount but can't.
Check out the look on Sanchez's face as he threw that strike - that's one determined fighter!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
The strikes coming from Sanchez are missing the target in this wave of attacks.
Carvalho is trying to get back to his feet.

Carvalho is breathing heavily.
Sanchez tries to move to mount but Carvalho blocks the move with his legs.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Carvalho fails with the takedown.
Sanchez shoots for a takedown but Carvalho saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Davide Sanchez will probably get the nod.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!


Carvalho misses with a hook. Sanchez ducked under it nicely.

Carvalho stuffs the takedown attempt from Sanchez. Sanchez gets slowly back to his feet.

Carvalho wants to free his trapped foot but Sanchez is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Carvalho is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sanchez defends it well.

Carvalho thows a big elbow that misses, also allowing Sanchez to regain full guard.
Carvalho stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Sanchez swivels though and keeps the full guard.

There's a bit of a scramble here and now Sanchez is on top in guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Sanchez looking to pass the guard.

Carvalho has his foot on Sanchez's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Sanchez works his way back into a safe position though.

Carvalho looks to be working for a triangle here. Oh, it looks like he might have it! Sanchez has picked Carvalho up and slammed him! Carvalho can't keep hold of the triangle and Sanchez manages to pass to side control!

Carvalho is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Carvalho tries to reverse the position but Sanchez maintains control.

Sanchez is working for a guillotine from mount but Carvalho frees his head quite easily.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Carvalho wants to improve his position but Sanchez is controlling well.

Carvalho is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Sanchez pulls his head out easily.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Carvalho manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Carvalho is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Sanchez defends it well.

Sanchez manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!
Carvalho slips a leg in and gets back to half guard.

Davide Sanchez comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Sanchez has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
